Cricket PNG Thanks Support for a Successful PacificAus Sports Cricket Invitational 2025
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea-: Cricket PNG as hosts of the Inaugaral PacificAus Sports Cricket Invitational, would like to extend its gratitude to the Australian Government, Cricket Australia, the Australia High Commission, and the Australia High Commissioner to PNG and Special Envoy to the Pacific and Regional Affairs, His Excellency Mr Ewen McDonald alongside PacificAus Sports for their support in delivering a successful international tournament this year. We sincerely thank the participating countries; the Australia Indigenous Team, Samoa, and Vanuatu, for their enthusiastic involvement and commitment to the tournament.
We also acknowledge the tireless efforts of their team managers, coaches, and supporting organisations, including Cricket Samoa and Vanuatu Cricket, whose collaboration helped make the tournament a resounding success.

During the trophy presentation and the closing ceremony of the PacificAus Sports Cricket Invitational on Saturday 21 June, Mr Harrison addressing the teams said, “I hope you have enjoyed your time in Port Moresby PNG and the hospitality shown as the Governor for the National Capital District Hon. Powes Parkop will say, ‘Amazing Port Moresby.’ It was great to see you enjoy yourselves at the Australia High Commission reception on Wednesday hosted by His Excellency Mr McDonald.
I wish you all the best in your future success as teams and ambassadors of your respective countries.” The trophy presentation ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including the Australia Acting High Commissioner to PNG his Excellency Mr Adrian Lochrin, the Patron of Cricket PNG, Chairman of the Motu Koita Assembly Hon. Dadi Toka Junior, PNG Olympic Committee President Ms Emma Waiwai and Cricket Australia Mr Brett Wood. Mr Wood, shared encouraging and congratulatory remarks, and thanked also the support from the Australian Government, the Australia High Commission, PacificAus Sports and the hosts Cricket PNG.
