Cassowaries Lift Throphy as ISUZU Men’s T20 SMASH 2025 Champions

The Cassowaries Men have claimed victory, lifting the ISUZU Men’s T20 SMASH 2025 trophy, after a thrilling showdown against the Black Bass at Amini Park in Port Moresby on Saturday, May 17

This year’s competition saw the Black Bass, Cassowaries, Mariners, and Mudmen battle it out in front of cricket fans in Port Moresby.

In the grand final, the Cassowaries Men chased down the target of 121 runs, scoring 121/7 in 19.3 overs, to defeat the Black Bass Men by 3 wickets.

•Black Bass Men: 120/8 (20.0 overs)

•Cassowaries Men: 121/7 (19.3 overs)

Emmanuel Karo (26) was named player of the match. Top scorers for the Cassowaries included Peter Karoho (29), Dauncey Tom (24), while Oala Puka Jnr impressed with the ball for Black Bass, claiming 3 wickets for 18 runs.
